Shanghai Gardens & Spaces
Sweet neighbor's dreamy morning glory vine has been in full-bloom this week.
I've been planning my fall and winter crops, and putting in succession plantings of beets, kale, and lettuce at the roof-top garden.
This is a great time of year to put in cold weather crops like broccoli, mustards, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, as well as beets. It's also a good time to pull up and sterilize plant stakes, and store them for next season.
It's also a good time to order rhubarb crowns and berry plants for next year's garden.
While most of my garden has stopped producing, I'm still doing lots of preserving - pickles, tomato puree, and fig-chipotle relish. I'm still hoping to bring in a good crop of tiny hot peppers before the first frost.
And last but not least, these are the stairs at Bec's house. I love her house so much - it's cozy and tall and quirky, and has these beautiful stairs.
What did you see around your neighborhood this week?
