New Bag Style

A dear friend had a special bag request - big enough for work, one zippered secret compartment, and classic minimal styling - in shocking pink hair-on cowhide. I don't do a lot of custom work, but this was a project I couldn't resist. 

There are two large main compartments, and the middle zippered pocket is lined with pink and green polka dot Chinese brocade.

I would have loved to do the dot fabric for the entire lining, but it's really delicate, and wouldn't hold up to daily use, so I went with a metallic silver lining for the mail compartments and pockets.

I'm a big fan of metallic linings. They make the inside of the bag reflective which makes it really easy to find things.

I was so happy with how this project turned out that I made one for myself.

I'm planning to add this style to the etsy shop as soon as the dreaded move is over. The rest of this weekend will be spent packing.

My internet access was cut off early, so I won't be posting for a few days.
