on the needles: march 3rd
How the heck did I end up with three stranded projects going at the same time? Gah!
1. Taj Mahal Socks - These have been stuffed in a project bag awaiting their turn in the limelight. I've written up the pattern but haven't sent it out for editing, and the charts have issues to put it delicately. I've recently accepted that my method of doing charts is terrible. It's time to bite the bullet and acquire and learn to use charting software.
Also, I made this pattern before I discovered the fish lips kiss heel, and I think I want to add it as an option in addition to the super simple afterthought heel used in the pattern. The fit on the current heel is kinda squidgy - it's fine once you get 'em on, but they're kinda tight around the instep and need to be pulled into place on the heel. Not ideal. This may be my Tuesday night knit group project. I could use some knitterly solidarity - I'm dreading removing and re-knitting the heel on sock #1.
2. Snowflower Mittens - Final proto for March's free pattern. It's a super funky colorway, but I'm digging it.
3. Corazon Mittens - These are a work project for yak-fiber yarn purveyors Shokay (full disclosure: I'm helping them out with Rav posting and other social media stuff). There's a knit-a-long happening in the Shokay Ravelry group, and some lucky knitter will win two skeins of Shokay Shambala.
What's on your needles this week?
