Mysterious is a continuous gradient starting with warm purple, continuing through violet and blue-violet before descending into black, and culminating in silver grey.
The dyeing technique I use to make gradients delivers brilliant and saturated colors in a range of variegated, speckled, and semi-solid effects. Each new shade of the gradient brings something new to your needles.
Silky Mohair is 65% kid mohair / 35% silk, lace weight, 550 y and 500 m / 50 g. It has a lovely wild halo, the silk gives the core strand a pearly shine, and it takes color like a dream.
Because it's mostly mohair, we do need to talk about softness. I don't find this yarn prickly at all, but individual mileage may vary. On the mohair softness spectrum, I'd say it falls somewhere between Rowan's Kid Silk Haze and Ironstone.
I'm offering this yarn at a deep discount so you can take a chance on it without breaking the bank. If you do choose to take a flyer on it, I would love it if you'd let me know what you think. If enough knitters love it, it'll become a regular feature in the shop.
Thanks for considering this new base!
