I’m Cate, the author of this pattern. As a full-time yarn dyer, I create knitting patterns to support sales of my hand-dyed gradient and semi-solid yarns.
Please consider signing up for my free knitting newsletter. Subscribers get a new free pattern every month, plus first crack at one-of-a-kind yarn colorways. Your support allows me to continue to publish patterns and dye incredibly colorful yarn.
I really appreciate it. Thanks!
About The High Gloss Shawl Free Knitting Pattern
How do you get six different color changes from just two yarns?
With a gradient, of course!
With a construction sequence inspired by the log cabin quilting block, this skinny shawl is designed in squishy, meditative, don’t-have-to-think-about-it garter stitch.
It’s worked from the neck down, and each section you knit moves the point of the shawl downwards and side to side, creating an interesting intersection of colors, stripes, and angles in the center.
