Named for the largest species of Nudibranchs ever discovered, Hexabranchus is an expansion of my Nudibranchia pattern (free in the Fall/Winter 2019 issue of Knitty).

This version super-sizes the original cowl into a jaw-dropping statement piece which just happens to use up all of one Helix Giant Gradient. Please note this is not a stand-alone pattern - you will need the instructions from the original free pattern.

About this Pattern

Skill Level: Intermediate

Skills Needed: Basic knitting skills, knitting in the round, picking up and knitting stitches, plus increases (kfb).

Finished Size: Length - 39 inches / 100 cm, width 6 inches / 15 cm.

Yarn: Infinite Twist Giant Gradient, 100% Merino, 700 yds, 240 g.

Needles: U.S. size 4 / 3.5 mm. Small dpns are recommended.

Gauge: 24 sts & 40 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm in garter stitch.

Notions: removable stitch markers, yarn needle.
